Notes / Ideas#
- The owned + assembled pool tops out around 1,540p (cheapest per-model split) — almost exactly the December 1,500p bracket. Everything through 1,500p below is built from models you already have; nothing to buy until January.
- Detachment: Cursed Legion (confirmed via the June 2026 Faction Pack). Rule “Cold Fervour”: +2 Strength to all
DESTROYER CULTweapons (Skorpekh + Ophydian Destroyers); the first time each turn a Destroyer Cult unit destroys a unit or drops it below half strength, every other Necrons unit also gets +2 S until end of turn — this is the payoff for the Necron Warriors blocks. Reaches the whole list, not just the Destroyer half of it, so it’s the default across brackets unless a bracket skews hard toward Warriors/Immortals instead (in which case Hand of the Dynasty — Assault on Warriors/Immortals guns — is the alternative). - Two Overlords means one runs as Warlord glued to the Necron Warriors/Immortals blob, the second either leads a second combat squad (bigger brackets) or stays on the shelf (smaller ones).
- Royal Warden and Plasmancer are the cheap character glue — attach to whichever Warriors/Immortals unit needs the buff.
- Canoptek Reanimator + Scarab Swarms are the durability backbone — keep them near Destroyers/vehicles to heal each turn.
- Night Scythe is the only transport/flyer in the pool — most useful once there’s a squad worth deep-striking (Lychguard or Immortals), so it shows up mid-bracket rather than early.
- 2,000p and 3,000p pull from the Wishlist — suggestions below are just one plausible shopping list, not the only one.
Army Ideas by Points Level#
Each bracket builds on the previous one — add the listed units to the bracket below to reach the next. All from the owned/assembled pool through 1,500p.
500p (practice / Session 0) — built#
Detachment: Cursed Legion (Cold Fervour). Force disposition: Purge the Foe. Warlord: Overlord. Secondary: Assassination (1 Character). 6 units, 495p — NewRecruit link.
- Overlord, Warlord — 90p — Resurrection Orb, Voidscythe
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Close combat weapon, Gauss reaper
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Close combat weapon, Gauss flayer
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Close combat weapon, Gauss flayer
- Ophydian Destroyers ×3 — 80p — Ophydian hyperphase weapons
- Skorpekh Destroyers ×3 — 85p — Skorpekh hyperphase weapons
Total: 495p — 5p short of the cap, and nothing in Cursed Legion costs exactly 5p (cheapest Enhancement is 15p), so this is effectively as tight as it gets.
750p — September — built#
Detachment: Cursed Legion (Cold Fervour). Force disposition: Purge the Foe. Warlord: Overlord. Enhancement: Destroyer Ankh on the Overlord. Secondary: Assassination (3 Characters). 9 units, 735p — NewRecruit link.
- Overlord, Warlord — 110p — Resurrection Orb, Voidscythe, Destroyer Ankh (+20p)
- Royal Warden — 50p — Close combat weapon, Relic gauss blaster
- Skorpekh Lord — 90p — Enmitic annihilator, Flensing claw, Hyperphase harvester, leads the Skorpekh Destroyers
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss reaper
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss flayer
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss flayer
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss reaper
- Ophydian Destroyers ×3 — 80p
- Skorpekh Destroyers ×3 — 85p
Total: 735p — 15p under cap. Destroyer Ankh gives the Warlord the DESTROYER CULT keyword, so he now counts toward Cursed Legion’s own trigger condition instead of sitting outside it.
1000p — October — built#

Total: 1,500p, exact — every owned/assembled model is here except the 2 Cryptothralls (60p), which didn’t make the cut this round. Genuinely “everything currently owned,” no purchases needed.
2000p — January — built#
Detachment: Cursed Legion (Cold Fervour). Force disposition: Purge the Foe. Warlord: Overlord. Enhancement: Destroyer Ankh on Warlord Overlord. Secondary: Bring It Down (2×2), Assassination (5 Characters). 21 units, 1980p — NewRecruit link.
Same core as the 1,500p list minus the Cryptothralls, with the Destroyer Cult side scaled up instead of bringing in an off-theme Monster (dropped the earlier C’tan Shard of the Void Dragon idea — it doesn’t benefit from Cold Fervour at all, being a Monster).
- Overlord, Warlord — 110p — Resurrection Orb, Voidscythe, Destroyer Ankh (+20p)
- Overlord — 90p — Overlord’s blade, Tachyon arrow
- Plasmancer — 55p — Plasmic lance
- Royal Warden — 50p — Close combat weapon, Relic gauss blaster
- Skorpekh Lord — 90p — Enmitic annihilator, Flensing claw, Hyperphase harvester
- Immortals ×5 — 70p — Gauss blaster

- Skorpekh Destroyers ×6 (3 new) — 170p — Skorpekh hyperphase weapons
- Tomb Blades ×3 — 70p
Total: 1,980p — 20p under cap. New purchases needed: one Lokhust Destroyers box, one Lokhust Heavy Destroyers box, and 3 more bodies each for Ophydian and Skorpekh Destroyers.
3000p — stretch (aspirational) — built#
Detachment: Cursed Legion (Cold Fervour). Force disposition: Purge the Foe. Warlord: Overlord. No Enhancement taken. Secondary: Bring It Down (2×2 + 2×4 + 1×6), Assassination (7 Characters). 25 units, 2985p — NewRecruit link.
Pulls back Ophydian/Skorpekh Destroyers to 3 each (down from the 2000p list’s 6) to make room for three big centrepieces and a second Immortals unit.
- C’tan Shard of the Void Dragon — 345p — Canoptek tail blades, Spear of the Void Dragon, Voltaic storm
- Overlord, Warlord — 90p — Resurrection Orb, Voidscythe
- Overlord — 90p — Overlord’s blade, Tachyon arrow
- Plasmancer — 55p — Plasmic lance
- Royal Warden — 50p — Close combat weapon, Relic gauss blaster

- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss flayer
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss flayer
- Necron Warriors ×10 — 80p — Gauss reaper
- Canoptek Reanimator — 75p
- Canoptek Scarab Swarms ×3 — 40p
- Canoptek Scarab Swarms ×3 — 40p
- Canoptek Scarab Swarms ×3 — 40p
- Lokhust Destroyers ×6 — 170p
- Lokhust Heavy Destroyers ×3 — 160p
- Lychguard ×10 — 160p
- Monolith (new) — 420p — centrepiece, deep strike/teleport hub
- Night Scythe — 125p
- Ophydian Destroyers ×3 — 80p
- Skorpekh Destroyers ×3 — 85p
- Tomb Blades ×3 — 70p
Total: 2,985p — 15p under cap. Only one new kit beyond what 2000p already needed: a Monolith. Worth knowing going in: both C’tan units are MONSTER keyword, which Cold Fervour’s triggered buff explicitly excludes — they’re pure raw-power picks, not on-theme with the detachment, same caveat as when the Void Dragon Shard first came up for 2000p. Fine for an aspirational stretch bracket where the point is having big scary things on the table, just don’t expect them to plug into the rest of the list’s buff chain.
