Notes / Ideas
#

Core of the collection is already Tzeentch-flavoured shooting/psychic: Pink Horrors → Blue Horrors → Brimstone Horrors split chain gives durable objective-holding troops for relatively few points.
Screamers and Flamers are the fast/deep-strike elements — Screamers threaten backfield objectives, Flamers punish grouped infantry.
Lord of Change or Kairos Fateweaver as the single big psychic threat/beatstick — probably not both in the same list at this collection’s size.
Heralds (Changecaster on foot, Fluxmaster on disc, Fateskimmer on chariot) are the cheap character glue — attach to whichever unit needs the buff/screen.
The Changeling and The Blue Scribes are the utility/support pieces — worth checking current detachment rules before relying on them, since the Blue Scribes has no current 11th-edition datasheet (see Roster notes).

Paint Scheme
#

Simple and fast — these are rank-and-file fillers, not showpieces. Grey primer keeps the blue vivid without going too pale, while still giving the ink something light to react with. The ink is used as a filter throughout — not a wash, it coats the whole model and the gradient comes from the underlying light/dark structure.

Paint Scheme
#

Fast batch scheme built around a single airbrush gradient and one ink filter pass. White prime keeps the yellow vivid. The Magenta ink is not a wash — it’s a transparent filter airbrushed over the whole model. It tints everything, but the underlying yellow and orange still show through; the gradient comes from the colour already on the model, not from the ink pooling in recesses. No blending, no freehand — the whole unit can be done in one session.

Tzeentch Basing Guide

This guide documents the basing process used for my Tzeentch army.

The goal was a simple, dark base that lets the model stand out, but still includes some visual interest to draw the eye.

The theme is ancient stone flooring, inspired by the ruins of an old marble tower.

Air-dry clay + texture roller
Plaster (small broken pieces for white marble effect)

Black primer (spray)
Grey — mid grey and a lighter highlight grey (both mixed from black + white)
Abaddon Black (for the base rim)

Step-by-Step Process

Apply clay to the base.
Use the texture roller to imprint the pattern.
Remove any excess clay around the edges.

Tip

Air-dry clay works best because it sticks to the base and holds texture well.
