Approximate Paint Scheme (reverse-engineered)
#

Recipe is a guess based on the finished model — not confirmed.

1. Prime
#

Grey primer

Not black — grey keeps the blues vivid and prevents the model from reading too dark overall.

2. Body — Airbrush
#

Army Painter Crystal Blue over the whole model.

3. Body — Ink
#

Liquitex Phthalocyanine Blue Ink into the recesses.

Pushes the scale shadows deep and adds iridescence on the raised surfaces.

4. Body — Highlight
#

Light drybrush of Crystal Blue + Matt White on the raised scale edges.

5. Wings — Split Airbrush
#

Army Painter Crystal Blue from the outer tips inward.

Army Painter Alien Purple from the root/body junction outward.

The two meet in the middle — same split-zone technique as the flamers. Blue dominates, purple at the root gives the warm violet shift.

6. Gold Details
#

Metallic gold on the staff ornaments and armour trim.

Wash with a dark ink to shade.

7. Eyes
#

Daemonic Yellow
